Heidi's First Date

Yes, you heard it right, Heidi had her first date. She asked a boy, Andy Bryner, to MORP. (That's prom backwards).

I cannot report that she was nervous and out of sorts, or I had to calm her down , because she wasn't nervous. Man, I can remember my first date. I couldn't eat for days and was sweaty palmed and couldn't think straight. But not Heidi. I am really glad she is this way.


Heidi and a group of her friends invited boys to the dance, planned a big group date and made these great t shirts for the dance. And had a whole evening full of fun activities planned. That is what you do these days.



This is Heidi before the date. She was in charge of the fruit tray. Ian and Kade Martin helped her make it.



Heidi and Andy had the yellow t shirts as you can see. Their shirts say "Lite Brite." During the date they went to a girl's home and had a lite brite competition.


This is Heidi and Andy's final product. They didn't win. :(


Later that evening they went to another girl's home for some warmin' up.


Oh no! While Heidi was out on her date they had a flat tire.

Good thing Heidi just had driver's ed and learned how to change a tire. She saved the day and changed it.

Heidi seemed to have a great time. I just can't believe that she is as old as she is. Time is flying by so quickly. She's driving and planning her future plans for college and basically growing up way to fast! She is a delightful young lady. Proud to her her mom! Love you Heidi!
