Palmyra and other fun things

This day hasn't been exactly as we planned it.
We were all cleaned up and ready for church in Rochester and when we got in Jen's car, it wouldn't start. After trying to jump start it we determined it was probably the starter.
We found a garage open on Sundays and after a few hours we had the car fixed and were on our way to Palmyra.

At the Grandin Printing press in Palmyra.

Driving to the Palmyra Temple you pass an intersection with a church on each corner. It is really cool.

In line for the Cave of the Winds. We got these nifty sandals to wear.  Are we really going to get that wet?

At the Cave of the Winds.

An extra day in Ohio

An extra day in Ohio meant that we could visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, much to Ian's delight.

Then to my delight we went to Middlefield, OH and visited amongst the Amish.

An Amish quilt for sale in Mary Yoder's Amish Restaurant where we had dinner.  $999. I think it is a bargain. Should I have bought it?
The Oatmeal Pie we bought for dessert at Mary Yoder's Amish Restaurant.  Pretty tasty!

I loved this sight.
A street sign in MIddlefield, OH.
Share the Road.:) So fun.

Right behind this buggy.

I was driving and kept having Jen take photos. I just loved it.

A photo attempt as we passed this Amish family.

More photo attempts.

Amish home.

We were so close to these people as we passed them.  Jen was shy about taking photos.  I was laughing at her attempts.

Case Church in Ashtabula, OH
My ancestor John Case settled in Austinburg, Ashtabula, OH and while there this church was built. In two of the stain glass windows are the names CASE and COWLES.
James Case's son is Solomon Cowles Case, his son is Frederick Aaron Case and his son is my grandfather, Fredrick Earl Case.

Unable to go in, I took this shot outside the window  "CASE"  is on this stainglass.

PENNSYLVANIA
We passed through Pennsylvania coming to New York. PA is dear to my heart.  My son, Richie, served a faithful mission here. I was texting him as we passed through and saw some of his areas. I wish he could be here with us.  I know he loves it here.

 NIAGARA FALLS
We are here! In New York.  At a hotel right outside Niagara Falls.  Last night in our hotel room we saw fireworks over Niagara.  Awesome!
