July 4th

I began the day in Provo, UT at the Balloon Festival.  I had to leave my home at 5:00 am to be down there at 6:00 am.  Love hot air balloons.

And ended the day at Sue Scott's house for a pool party.
Jen and Heidi made this cake.  Crazy amazing, huh?  I love the photo of Gma in the back all decked out in the red white and blue.  This shows her "true colors."  Such a patriot.

Adventure/Explore- Walking Salt Lake

I bought this book at Costco.  It intrigued me because I want to know more about this great city that I live in.   It is a walking tour of Salt Lake City.

I began the adventure this afternoon.  I wondered, at one point what I was doing because it was 96 degrees outside and I was walking uphill.  But I did it.

I took the walk of the Salt Lake cemetery.

This happens to be the tombstone for the parents of my mission president, Hyrum Smith.

Those who lost their lives at war.  It always touches my heart as I pass by.

This was the most interesting tombstone.

And I think this was the most beautiful.

July 1, 2018 More of ...My Favorite Things St Louis

St Louis is Home of Bissinger's Chocolate.  My good friend Becky introduced me to this aMaZiNg chocolate.   I tried a dark chocolate and a milk chocolate piece. (I paid $5 for two pieces of chocolate.)   The burst of fresh raspberry (my favorite berry) in my mouth was the best thing I have tasted in a long time.
