Ian's Scout Camp

Ian was gone to Scout Camp the same week Heidi and I went to Girls' camp. He was at Scoffield. IT was a fun and productive camp for him. He earned 5 merit badges. They experienced a lot of rain and their tent poles snapped because it filled with water and so they came home a day early.

Weekend with my daughters in Boise, ID

Boise Trip with Jen and Heidi

Heidi and I spent Girls camp in Idaho and since there was a Jonas Brothers concert that very weekend in Boise we decided to go up north so they could go to the concert.

Jen drove up to where we were at camp and then we went on to Boise from there.

Jen gets ready for her trip to meet us in Idaho.

Jen wakes up early the morning she is going to meet us. She is excited to make the journey by herself to Idaho.

Jen gets all the things ready to make the trip. (An Ipod and a McGriddle sandwich.) What more do you need.

I gave Jen lots of instructions before she left. She took pictures of then things I asked her to do so I would not worry. Cute. Here she shows that she locks the doors at home.

She checks the tires on the car.

She enters Idaho.

One of the things we did was go find the home we lived in in Boise 15 years ago. Here it is. It was kind of hard to find, the trees have grown taller and our house is pink now. When we left it was brown.

Heidi and Jen in front of "twin falls". There is now only one fall, the other one was dammed off years ago.

WE stopped off for lunch at a hocky rink. Odd place, but fun.

While leaving the falls we saw this elk. Wow it was huge. We were amazed.
Heidi amazed by the elk.

And the whole reason we went to Boise was for Jen and Heidi to see the Jonas Bros in concert. Here is one of the MANY pics they took at the concert.

We had such a fantastic time. I love to be with you Jen and Heidi.

Girls' Camp

Girls' camp was fabulous this year. I was so excited that I could go and enjoy the week with Heidi and the other girls in our ward. Jan Kaye is our camp director and is so wonderful and hard working and loves the girls and they love her. She planned a trip to Rupert, ID. We drove up Monday morning, 3 hours away, about 15 minutes from theparking place we listened to a wonderful talk about virtue. We arrived in Rupert, parked and then road our bikes 16 miles into camp. There were signs along the way about Virtue, our theme, "Got virtue." We would stop and have little lessons about being virtuous. I haven't ridden my bike for a few years and I loved every minute of it. I could even keep up with the girls.

After setting up camp we had a delicious dinner of hamburgers and hotdogs. Danielle Ricker and Bro Josephsen were our camp cooks and did a wonderful job. That evening the presidency put on a FHE, we made ruby bracelets, had a great talk by Sister Haderly and some skits and treats.

Tuesday, "Got Worth" Jan gave a great talk about our self worth, we had breakfast, a bird walk, lunch and then off to boating and tubing all afternoon. AFter dinner we had a great talk by Dane Kay. He speaks right to the heart of youth and was so great.

Annie's Wedding

Annie and Jon had a wedding dinner the night before their wedding. It was up Provo Canyon at a park. A delicious dinner was served. This is a photo of the Case family at the dinner.

The refreshments at the reception. They were delicious.
Table decorations. So Cute! Karen grew the grass her self.
Annie and Jon, again in their line.

We were going to set up a bubble machine, but it was too messy in the church. So Ian just played around with it for a while.

The candy table. Guests were able to bag their own candy in pink and orange gift bags.
Annie's wedding was meant to be in a neighbor's backyard, but it got rained out. We all pitched in and took all the decorations and set it up at the church. We had great fun!
Annie's wedding cake was a display of donuts in pink and orange, her wedding colors.

Annie's bridal shower

6/13/09
Robyn, Kaytlin, Morgan, Jen, Heidi and I threw a bridal shower for Annie yesterday. It was a Case shower. It is always so fun to be with the Case's. I look forward to a week full of Case events as Annie will get married on Saturday. Monday we are hiking the Y, in honor of Annie and Jon meeting at the Y. Wednesday we will go to the temple with Annie. Friday is a wedding dinner and Saturday is the wedding.

Those in attendance at the shower were: Annie, Karen, (Sarah was at EFY), Cida and Lindsay, (Allie was at a birthday party), Robyn and Kaytlin (Morgan did not come in town with Robyn and Kaytlin), Lorri, Camille and Mandy, Rebecca, Jen, Heidi and me and Hailey Liechty, a cousin with her daughter, Margo. Kristen could not come because of work.

We had some nice refreshment, played a fun game where we guessed things about Annie and Jon. Then Annie told us the real scoop and we made wedding dresses out of toilet paper, plus lots of visiting.

We are all very excited for Annie!

We played a game where we divided into teams and had to create a wedding dress from toilet paper. The dress that Lorri is wearing won!
