San Francisco
Becky and I were sent on another great trip. This time it was to San Francisco. We have such a great time together. It was all very exciting.
We were taken to the hotel, The Grand Hyatt, in a town car. After checking in we had a delicious dinner and spent the rest of the evening in meetings. This conference was sponsored by Novartis.
Becky and I were looking forward to the following day full of fun.

I was given room 1704. Everything kept happening with the number 17. I sat in seat 17A on the airplane. We parked in the airport in 17F. My meal on Fisherman's Wharf was $17. What is up with that?
We walked past a park when many Chinese people were doing Tai Chi. I have always loved Tai Chi and have watched this on TV. I never thought I would see it done in real life.
While walking to the wharf Becky pointed out this bldg in SF called the Needle. You could see it wherever we went. Pretty cool.

Fisherman's Wharf on Pier 39. We happened upon this family of sea lions. It was so awesome to watch.
We were told to get some mini donuts on Pier 39. So of course we did. We sat down on the dock and ate our delicious donuts.
While we were walking along the wharf we saw a bike rental place and decided to rent some because we wanted to get to the Golden Gate Bridge and knew we wouldn't get there without bikes. We were so glad we did. We had a great time on them. This hill doesn't look very steep but it was. Later I learned that Becky was saying "If she can do it, I can do it" and I was thinking, "if she can do it, I can do it." We both made it up the hill with those thoughts going through our heads. Lots of people walked this hill with their bikes. Yeah, Becky and LuAnn! You are awesome. While walking to the wharf Becky pointed out this bldg in SF called the Needle. Along the Pier there were beautiful flowers everywhere.
It was so green and beautiful all the way. We kept our eyes on the bridge as it got closer and closer.
Another beautiful scene on our way to the GGB. It was getting closer and closer. We were getting excited every pedal of the way.
Finally on the bridge, GGB. WOW it was worth the trip. It was so fun to ride up and down this amazing bridge.
After leaving the bridge we were starving and went the wharf and ate fabulous sea food at the stands along the street. This is what the stands look like.
Becky eating her lunch of Clam chowder in a sour dough bowl, seafood salad sandwich and fried shrimp. I had the same shrimp and lobster bisque. DELICIOUS.!!!
We had a funny experience. After we dropped off our bikes and were walking along the wharf, Becky was eating her last two shrimps. She was dipping one of them in her cocktail sauce and ready to eat it when a seagull swooped down and took her last one right out of the container in her hand. It was so amazing and shocking and terribly funny.
As we walked back to the hotel we stopped of at Lombard Street to see the croaked street.
