Ward Yuba Party 22 August 2009

What a fun day we have had today. Our ward, Canyon Ward, had a little gathering at Yuba Lake. We enjoyed each others company, went boating and had a delicious lunch.

We started out on the Hiskey's boat. They taught Ian how to wake board. He did a great job! Then we went with the Josephson's on their boat and while we were out we celebrated Marcia's birthday. We decorated the boat, had cake with candles and sang "Happy Birthday."

Then I went out with the Kaye's on their boat and had a nice relaxing chat with Jan while Ian was out on Bro. Hjorth's boat and Heidi and Jen built sandcastles.

Later Julie Boogert talked me into tubing. I have never done it before. I was nervous and so she, Christine Thayne and I went out on Bro. Hjorth's boat and had a great time tubing.

Great food, great fun, great friends.

First Day of School 19th August 2009

Today was the first day of school for Heidi and Ian. Another summer has come and gone so quickly. I want time to slow down! Heidi is a sophomore at Maple Mountain High, the new high school in Mapleton. We are pretty excited about this new high school.

And Ian is an 8th grader at Diamond Fork Jr High.

It is going to be a great year. Both are good students and great kids.
