San Francisco AGAIN

I LEFT MY HEART IN SAN FRANCISCO.

Becky and I had another trip to.....
San Francisco.
And I loved it again.
We decided to try some new adventures this time.
We had such a great time.

Day One.
Lunch at a Vietnamese Bistro.

We also took a bus tour and the first stop was Muir Woods. AMAZING!

One of the stops on our tour was the Golden Gate Bridge.

On the bus to the city of Sausalito. The City of Sausalito.A California Olive.

DAY TWO. We walked up Powell Street, one of the steepest street in SF to get to Pier 39 to go on a sail boat trip. We love an adventure. We kept getting told we couldn't do it.
Walking through the streets of San Francisco.

Sail Boat Ride, from Pier 39, past Alcatraz, under the Golden Gate Bridge and back.

After our sail boat trip we walked down the pier to have a fabulous Italian Seafood dinner at Alioto's. So fun and delicious and expensive.

Night time in SF. Walking back to the hotel after a fun day of sailing and eating.

End of the trip. Matching jackets.

Crepes- Conference Morning Breakfast

Crepes are so divine and I have always been afraid to make them but having made them one time with my friend, Barbara, and last week in Young Women's, I thought I would attempt them again.

And I might say they were a smashing success and very simple! I had no special equipment or no premixed crepe mix. Just a plain old non stick frying pan and scratch ingredients.

Crepes

4 eggs, beaten

1 cup flour

1 1/3 cup milk

2 TB sugar

2 TB butter, melted

1/2 tsp salt

In large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, melted butter, flour, sugar and salt until smooth.Heat a medium-sized non stick skillet over medium heat. Grease pan with a small amount of oil applied with a brush or paper towel. Using a 1/4 c measuring cup, fill it scantly and spoon into hot pan, tilting the pan so that bottom surface is evenly coated. Cook over medium heat, 30 seconds or until golden brown, flip over and cook for another 15 seconds. Serve immediately.

Suggested fillings:

Sliced strawberries, whipped cream

Butter and powdered sugar

Nutella, bananas and whipped cream

chocolate chips and whipped cream

Lemon filling and cream cheese mixed with powdered sugar

St George Summer Trip

St George is fast becoming one of the funnest annual summer trip I have.

This year we stayed at Hyrum and Gail Smith's Eagle Mountain Ranch in Gunlock, UT. Hyrum and Gail Smith were my mission president and mother. They have been such a blessing in my life. It was great to see them again and to be with them at their beautiful home.

We went to two plays at the Tuacan.

Tarzan

Crazy for you.

We enjoyed eating at Nielson's Frozen Yogurt.

My toenail polish matched the seats at Nielson's perfectly.

At the Smith's there was this little kitten that Ian really liked. It was kind of a crasy cat and liked Ian's bangs.

Just the next day we learned the kitten was killed by some dogs. :(

It was a great trip. I loved being with Richie, Jen, Heidi and Ian.

I have to say that I think this is one of my favorite Broadway play, next to Les Miserables.

Time is flying by

It is another School Season.

I do not know what to do about the fact that time is flying by and my children are growing up.
Heidi begins 11th grade and Ian the 9th. WOW! In my mind, they are still young children. This photo shows otherwise.

(I have always taking photos of the first day of school. Once again, they are not showing enthusiasm for this new year ritual.) Oh well, deal with it, I am going to keep doing it!

Ian's year old shoes with some new ones we found in the mall. WOW!

Jena's wedding

JENA SAINSBURY BURR

Jen's friend, roomie at BYU, and family friend from our ward gets married.
Jen was one of her bridesmaid.
Just a few pics from the reception.
